Chamonix
Our minds were simply blown with the beauty of the French Aphes and of the township of Chamonix!
It was a perfect day for a trip to l’Aiguille du Midi at 3842m via cable car, but unfortunately everyone else had the same idea. There were already hundreds queued by 6:30am and it was reported that the wait time was up to 5hrs. Instead we headed up Les Grand Montets at 3275m where we were treated to spectacular views with relatively little to no queues! As always, we were cutting it fine to arrive at our designated Tour du Mont Blanc team meeting at 5:00pm and after getting lost finding our way to the tour hotel, we managed to arrive only 15min late. We have been given our tour briefing and will be heading off on the first day of TMB at 8:00am. Looks like our holiday is over!

Stunning shots Stephano… even the one of you with that woman who is less gorgeous than the French girls!!! The adventure begins eh. Good luck – eagerly await your posts hereafter……. Infiniti and beyond as Buzz would say before he sets off!!!!
It’s definitely “beyond”as in “beyond us!”
Well Jen you wouldn’t have got those views in Palm Cove. And maybe not even that much sunshine! Looks stunning. Hope the next challenge goes well. Just imagine you are lying on the beach when your legs are aching, maybe you can trick your brain in to pretending it is relaxing. Carolyn
Glad you loved Chamonix. This is a town that we visited regularly, many times just for lunch. Enjoy your experience of Mont Blanc. Glad to see that there is still lots of snow on those higher peaks.
We would have planned a longer stay in Chamonix if we had known better. And it’s an outdoor gear shopping paradise!
Loving the brilliant photos and scenery. Looks amazing. Enjoy your next travel leg and look forward to your next blog
