Tour du Mont Blanc – Day 1
We are marching to a different drum now! No fluffing around in the mornings or leisurely breakfasts, we are on a fixed timetable so the pressure is on!
We were blessed with another sunny summers day producing amazingly spectacular views. We started the day taking a cable car up 1000m before starting our climb. We climbed over 500m before descending over 1500m back down into the valley arriving at a lovely hotel around 5:00pm.
We are expecting rain overnight, so tomorrow’s weather isn’t looking as good as today’s!

Steve and Jen it looks stunningly beautiful scenery! I’m loving the photos and tour so far. Keep going – one foot in front of the other! Go well!
Jen is that chain meant to stop you from falling cause it doesn’t look like you are holding on to it! Beats cross country skiing in the 80’s, much better views than Victoria. What age are the others in the group and how many are there? Looks like a bit more than ‘walking around’ Mont Blanc Steve
I think the age group is from late 20’s to mid 60’s. Yes, it’s a little more than a stroll. Holiday is definitely over!
