Yes, was happy with the photos on our second day. I used both the Sony and iPhone. The lighting was good and the landscapes came up well using the iPhone Panorama function. Day 3 was a write off due to wet weather and as whiteout with low clouds, so went to town on photos for day 2 to make up for it.
The Routeburn Track is a great walk and is a little shorter (3 days, 2 nights) which means you can get away carrying less, but then you can always do the Ultimate Hikes with nice accommodation, hot showers and a 3 course meal all provided (for a price). But I thought you’d prefer the Milford Track so you can visit Dumpling Hut?
